Alun is a Partner at Red Recruitment, bringing ten years of recruitment experience to the firm. He is a Registered Professional Recruiter and holds a Bachelor Degree in Business from the University of Wales in Cardiff (UK).
Alun started his recruiting career in 2004 in an agency setting in the UK. When he moved to Calgary in 2007, he spent three years in-house leading the regional recruitment for a well-respected National Public Accounting Firm, followed by in-house recruitment positions with a major oil and gas producer and a large Engineering firm. Alun chose to return to external search in 2011 with the launch of Red Recruitment.
In his spare time Alun can be found on the golf course, enjoying a game of rugby or spending time with his wife and young son.
Ian is a Partner with Red Recruitment and has been actively involved in the Calgary recruiting industry for the last eight years. He has worked with both national and international firms and brings strong agency operational experience to Red. Prior to his recruiting career, Ian was an accountant, and worked for several private companies in the Montreal area, gaining valuable experience and understanding of the accounting world.
Ian joined Red Recruitment in early 2013. He was drawn to the company’s customer service driven culture and their desire to set a new standard for recruitment in Calgary.
When he’s not recruiting, Ian enjoys playing jazz as well as golf and hockey. He can also be found spending time with his two daughters.
MANAGING DIRECTOR, IT
Bruce is a Partner with Red Recruitment, leading our Information Technology (IT) Division. He has been actively involved in the bustling Calgary IT recruiting industry for over a decade, most recently managing a leading recruiting team in Calgary for 7 years with one of Canada’s largest staffing companies.
Bruce has extensive sales and customer service experience, successfully leading the support of their largest customer while also developing relationships with new clients. Bruce’s understanding of the industry is well known in Calgary, demonstrating a proven ability to build successful teams and set the standard for customer service.
When Bruce is not heads down recruiting, he loves to travel to sporting events and also all over the world with his family. He can also be found spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Carlyn joined the Red team in early 2015, and is a native Calgarian. She graduated from SAIT’s Business Administration Diploma with an Accounting major in 2009, and spent two years in the Accounting field before finding her “niche” as a Finance & Accounting Recruiter in 2011.
Carlyn quickly excelled in the industry with her ability to interpret a diverse array of client needs and identify top tier talent, quickly and directly, successfully working with clients ranging from small organizations to global publicly held corporations. She has a passion for business, enjoys getting to know the professionals she works with and relishes the opportunity to facilitate the right “match” between client and candidate.
When Carlyn isn’t recruiting, she can be found on horseback or coaching riding lessons. She also enjoys spending quality time with her young sons and husband.
